If its fully insured, I'd go ahead and fix it..you were looking to get a bigger bike anyways right? if you fixed it up with the insurance money, and sold it, you could go out and get ur new bike if ur ready for that.
Im glad ur ok!!...and yeah, some lessons have to be learned the hard way, but its better to learn them at some point at least. We've all done it at some point, and those that havent yet, will...as the saying goes.
