I didn't vote since I don't watch it enough to know if I do or don't like it. But I know Twisty doesn't miss anything that has to do with Nascar.

I have yet to figure out why so many motorcycle people are rabidly against NASCAR. It is what it is, nothing more, nothing less.

We've got a bunch of people coming over today to watch it in HDTV.

And honestly, if you've never been to watch it live, it's pretty cool ... especially at a short track like Richmond or Dover. Definately worth trying once if you're open to trying new things. World of Outlaws on dirt is another - GREAT racing, and a ton of fun.

I think most folks don't understand how watching a bunch of cars go in an oval for four hours can be fun. Of course, it's more than that.

I don't watch NASCAR, but I'm not against it. I could probably be convinced to go to a race if it didn't cost $120 a ticket; a friend just bought tickets to Talledega.

I'm with ya Shan.... I'd go to a race and make fun of about 90% of the fans!!!

I wish I could do my impression of a Nascar fan! It's some funny *****!

When I was growing up, you were either a drag strip fan or race track fan. I've always been a drag(er). To watch cars go bumper to bumper at fast speed, I can just go onto any local highway. And most of the drivers I see doing it are bored to tears.

To me, there is just something about neck-snapping acceleration. Most drivers hate it when they miss a traffic light. In my Jeep, I hate it too, but I love being first at the light on my motorcycle. It's even better when there's a motorcycle or hot car next to me.

I have been to numerous races over the years. Never paid for the first ticket!
I don't follow it and wouldn't have went to watch if the tickets weren't free.

WAtchin it right now! Love watching them kick out the rear braking into turns.

As for nascar... eh. I gave it a go a few years ago but never got into it. All the unkept women wearing XXXXXXL nascar shirts full of numbers, checkerd flags, flames and lightning bolts didnt sell me either.

You haven't been to a race until the August Bristol night race. That will make a fan out of anyone and I guarantee it. I love Nascar.....END OF STORY.
Amen - most people don't understand Nascar. I have 15-20 friends that I took kicking and screaming to MIS for a race and now they watch it every week and follow it religiously.. No one that I know of has ever been to a race and then said it sucks.. People that say oh how can you watch 43 cars go in a circle for 3 hours don't have a clue what it is all about.. In my opinion there is no form of racing that is as intense as Nascar.. Sure AMA is great and I am not knocking any other racing because I like all things fast - but like AMA, Motogp, etc. is like 10-15 laps.. There is no pit strategy, there's no bump drafting, there is no 12.9 pit stops that win a race, there is no coming back from a lap down, etc. You can't say you don't like it until you actually go to a race and as far as the ticket prices - I go to MIS for $40 for the infield.. And for those other out of state races - well they are that much because they are well worth every penny.. I could say more but I have to eat.. Gordon blows and Jimmie swallows..
