One suggestion, if there is an Ses turn or 2-turns back to back, have some one show you the best way or I can go over it with you. handling S turns seems to be the most under-taught manuver.

In the Denver area this summer, every Tuesday is Ladies Night at Second Creek Raceway. $45, plus full gear. No safety wire or taped glass needed. Ladies only, but they have cars races and bike races. 5pm till dusk.

Every Thursday is motorcycles only (men and women). $45, 5pm till dusk.

Every Wednesday, $30 will get you as many runs as possible at Bandimere (1/4 mile) drag strip. Helmet and leather jacket required. 4-9pm.

In 1984, when they first came out, I ran a Ninja 600 and 900 (not mine) at Second Creek. If you are nearby, it is a great track.

Yeah they don't make you do any of that to drag race....only on a GP track, grand prix...road coarse is what they are talking about.

The only thing I can see that hasn't been addressed yet is to unplug your head lights,ect. so you don't burn the tape on to it and put duct tape over your wheel weights.

Taking to the track for the first time can be very nerve-wracking, you are, after all, taking yourself well outside your comfort zone and putting yourself into an alien environment. But a little preparation and knowledge go a long way and pretty soon you’ll be out there learning the full capabilities of your car and having a great time, too. Be warned, though, track driving is very addictive and once you’ve tried it, it’s hard not to want more.
