Some of these mods can make for a fast bike but it depends on how rideable he wants to keep it.
Very true...and as you said... when you upgrade the motor for more power you need to upgrade the suspension and the brakes to handle that power!

Scott ,

Got your PM . :dthumb:

With those mods you will see NO decrease in ridability or reliability . Also , no real need for suspension or brake upgrades to handle the increased HP . Do the suspension for other right reasons , not simply because of putting " some " extra POP into the engine . The Z likes the fork sag adjusted and good fork oil or aftermarket springs along with EBC pads anyway .

If I can help more , go over to the Riderforums.com where there is specific discussion on the Z1000 .

Hi Scott. Im scott with a Z1000 too, havent been on the board much lately

But Brakes are your next mod, and Muzzys can also do the 998 kit.
Also others are building 973 kits to be more durable and gettign results.
The best site for Z mods is

www.riderforums.com Its got a Z1000 Specific board, Youll find tons of companies and mods youve never seen before if u havent been there. Theres around 200 Z riders onboard there to give ya tips and new ideas.
