I called a buddy who owns a shop, and another dealer and both said I wont be able to find just that part. thereare no bike junkers around my area. It sucks after it bent and I was pulling it out I was thinking" Should be easy to get one of these". I have been searching the internet all day and calling around to no avail. Been on the keihin site too. Nothing

it'll be easier to find a used carb, and pillage it for parts than to find JUST that butterfly piece.

48 shipped, what cent??? I can get a set of carbs for 48 bucks. Thianks but no thanks. How it got bent....well The bike is actually an old xs1100. Some people on xs11.com the forum for these machines have said and posted dynos of how much the GSXR 750 slingshot carbs increase performance. So I founed a cheap set of 93 GSXR 1100 carbs on ebay and bought them. Apparently the 750's have slightly different spacing. and mine were to spread out (carbs 1+4) to fit my head carb boots. SOOOO I took them apart from each other and modded the nut side of the butterfly shaft on carbs 2+3 to allow 1+4 to move closer in. I also had to belt sand down the fuel and air nipples on carbs 4+2. To allow the back side(air inlet side) of the cabs to move in closer. All of this brought carbs 1+4 about 1/4 inch and now they fit with a little encouragement. Well, when I was putting the nut back on the butterfly shaft of carb 2 (which has had the lock washer removed to allow for space) I tightend it down to much putting pressure against the butterfly(actually pushing it against the carb throat) and it bent. Figured at the time it would be an easy part to replace so it got kind of beat up when trying to pull it back through the butterfly shaft. And that my friend is why I am looking for one. TADA that wasn't as long as I thought it was going to be:cheers:

Oh yeah NO worries your right they are Mikunis
