Just as an additional FYI -

SpeedWerks has been a supporting dealer with NESBA since '01 - we do a lot of work on members' bikes, suspension tuning, etc. We also control ride, and offer advice to NESBA members.

We're upping the program in '05 by attending every Sunday Summit Point date. We'll be there to support our existing customers, as well as providing free services such as basic suspension setup and analysis and riding advice.

We're not there to be a trackside "vendor" pre se - I don't think we're really going to bring much stuff there to sell (maybe just some crash spares, brake pads, that kind of thing - in case people crash), but if you're there and see the big SpeedWerks trailer, stop by and say hi.

Just to update this, we've got our schedule set -

http://www.speedwerks.com/SpeedWerks_NESBA.html

I'll be control riding for some sessions helping people who are looking for riding tips, and also doing suspension setups, that sort of thing. We think it's going to be pretty cool.

Any body doing any dates with these guys? How are they? STT is not doing many different tracks like last year and these seem to have ton setup? My goal is to be @ the track 3 weekends out of the month. Seat time is important.
Twisty, I'll let other people give their opinion, but I can also give you mine. The reason we got hooked up with NESBA is because Brian and I did one of their track days and we were so impressed, we decided to work more with them. NESBA does offer a ton of dates, but they definitely fill up quickly. I've never done an STT day, so I can't directly compare the two. Every org has their advantages and disadvantages. NESBA is a non-profit organization and truly cares about their members, not the bottom line. Their days are run extremely well in terms of organization, and are split into beginner, intermediate and advanced. beginner and intermediate have control riders to help coach riders, and advanced is well...for the advanced to get out and grind up the track. :)

Their events can be crowded, and like every other event, your experience is going to depend on the type of people there. If you get a day with a group of level headed riders, you get 20 minute sessions 5-7 times during the day. If you get a day when there are a bunch of bone heads, red flags can really turn into a pain...but NESBA doesn't care for that and has been known to take the situation and fix it. They really don't like the bone heads that cause others to lose track time.

The other great thing is their "rain" guarantee. Very cool! I hope some others chime in about their experience, but we're looking to meet some more people this year and get some "virgins" out on the track. :)

From your description of NESBA track days, it sounds as if they're similar to STT days. However, I've never been to a NESBA day to know, yet. I'm hoping to get one full track weekend per month this year, but we'll see if the budget allows it. I wish I had more money than I knew what to do with so that I could ride track days every weekend. ;)

STT is good but if it rains you ride. There is no makeup days. I looking to trackdays in july because both WERA and fastraxx are slow in that month.

I would NEVER do a TrackoHolics day. They are joke and many other people feel the same way about them.

Thanks for the info SpeedWorks.:twfrox:

LED days is what I ment. My weekends are full with racing. And gratten is well, in need of a face lift.
I don't foresee attending any of these dates except maybe VIR and Road Atlanta.

I understand the face lift. Roebling Road Raceway at Savannah, GA is the same. Still a great track. :twfrox:
