First..:welcome: :twfrox: We have talked about this many times on here. The Katana would be a nice bike to start with. An F3 or maybe a GS. Also...what year fz-6 are you looking at?

The SV is a great bike to start out on, that's what I started out on also. Just don't buy a new bike because most people lay it down at some point in time.

I just picked up a 1997 Kawasaki Ninja 600(not the r type) and it's a great starter bike. All my friends love it. They said it's way easier to take turns than a katana and has more power. I only paid 1700 and it has 10,000 too, just look around for deals. I highly recommend this bike though, VERY comfortable and great all around.

I heard that the Yammie has a more upright seating position. i had an older one but I got rid of it. I'm thinking about getting a newer one now that I can ride all year round here in Vegas. DLITALIEN reffered me to this site once he heard I was interested in riding again. Seems pretty cool so far.
