Whats up guyz....

just figured i would give a heads up on new boots I picked up yesterday.

I went with the Icon Super Duty 2 boot in black. Very very nice boot for 100 bucks and very comfortable. Its great for getting off the bike and walking around as well. Blends in with any pair of jeans or whatever you are wearing.

They are like a low-mid cut boot with laces and a single aluminum buckle.

From what I understand this boot JUST came out. The store I ordered them from said I was the first to get them through that store. I think the design is much better than the original super duty.

only downside....the toe is a little big and at first it was a little akward getting my toe under the shifter....but after about 20 miles of riding i got more used to it...like with anything...but the toe is def. a pain in the ass with the shifter at first.

*Also...just figured I would mention that the Alpinestar TZ-1 Leather jacket is SWEET!!!!! It has the 75 degree anatomical fit and the built in armor is great and the look of the jacket is amazing.

IDK if they are any better than Timberlands but they are designed for riding. :dthumb: Not working and hiking.
BTW I prefer Danner.

Yeah those aren't any better. Not saying that they are bad, just that they are just a work boot redesigned. :2cents:

But all of these are better than low cut tennis/running shoes that most people seem to wear!

They are perfect for what I want out of them. I am not looking for a race boot, just something that will provide me with decent protection for zipping around town at highway speeds, that are still comfortable for getting off the bike and going in stores and stuff. I had trouble finding a regular leather boot that offers lace holders beside these type of shoes.

And that is the perfect POV on them. They offer more but not the end of all or the best by any means!

I would rather walk around in race boots then wear that waste of money...
They are actually a really comfortable shoe. A lot more comfortable then any race boot I have ever tried on. You are going to pay that much for a good pair of leather boots nowadays anyway. I can actually ride into work with these and leave them on all day. I am required to wear leather boots for arc flash reasons, so these work just as well as going out and buying a pair of work boots. Just cause you have no reason to buy them, doesn't mean they are a waste of money to everyone. It's better to have these then go squidly with tennis shoes.

yea...i like my boots so far...for the most part.

Im not spending 250 bucks on a wicked looking pair of race boots to wear with a pair of padded jeans and a leather jacket.

Gloves, helmet, padded jeans, leather jacket, and my boots are good enough for now....seeing as how these items alone cost close to a grand already.

Im not nicky haden....i dont need moto gp boots!
