Keep in mind that your raise will be taken into account for the child support, so it may not help out too much afterall because it will all be figured in.
I agree...wait and see about the child support first and then you'll know more about what you can and cannot afford. If you get the new and then end up not being able to afford it, you'd have to sell it or something. But, if you get the used, then you end up being able to afford more, you'll wish you had. Then again, you can always have some extra money if you go used too.
