I've added a solo cowl, flush mount signals, taillight with integrated signals, homebuilt fender eliminator and license plate light, and Shogun "no-cut" frame sliders. I plan to buy a steering damper in the near future.

Nice. Two comments:

1. Get a smoked or a blue w/s
2. Get an aftermarket pipe - don't ask me which is good - I have a Vance Hines that sounds pretty good - I think Yosh is the most popular, not sure if it is Twisty approved - just get a pipe the stock one performs and looks like shyt

I know I know with what money you just spent a bunch buying a new bike I am just trying to help you out and I know I know you probably already "know this man" but making an observation..

But the purchase of an R6 was the best thing you could have done.. You WILL NOT be disappointment - that bike is all that and a bag of super size mfr chips with hot sauce.. Come on warm weather..

Yosh will be Twisty approved. However, I suggest Micron and/or Devil Shotgun exhaust!!

Also, I noticed that you decided to go with the flush mounts!!! :dthumb:

Well, yes, a pipe is in the future, just not the immediate future. The next two items I'll be spending money on are a steering damper and a lap timer. After I get a couple thousand miles on the bike, I'll drop some money on better tires, a slip on (or full system) and a Power Commander. I've been to the Sport Rider page where they have sound clips of pipes (tested on an '04 R6) and so far I like the Micron.

A smoked w/s is cheap though - do that or get a Memphis Shade like Twisty as those are sweet too - they come in blue.. Makes a WORLD of difference.. DO IT!

I don't really mind the stock windscreen, to be honest. But I'll think about it. I definitely don't care for the chromed ones.

That clear plastic just annoys the hell out of me.. Black or blue adds a nice touch..

HEY CAP, DID YOU GET MY POST ABOUT THE SHOGUN FRAME SLIDERS? THE ADAPTERS WILL TARNISH QUICKLY. THEY'LL TURN INTO A BRONZE TYPE COLOR (UGLY). I GOT THE GYT-R SLIP-ON ON MY BIKE AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME. I FIGURED I'D GET THAT BECAUSE IT'S MADE BY YAMAHA AND MY DEALERSHIP SELLS MORE MICRONS THAN ANYTHING. MICRON'S DO SOUND GOOD BUT EVERYONE HAS 'EM. PLUS THE BLUE IN THE LABEL ON THE GYT-R WILL MATCH YOUR PAINT. EITHER WAY IT'LL SOUND BETTER THAN STOCK. I DIDN'T LIKE LISTENING TO MY VALVES OVER MY EXHAUST. TIGHT LOOKIN BIKE! :dthumb:
