Got plenty of oil, and added more for good measure.. bene on on restarts all day...... The motor dies whn i wheelie but no other time..... what might be causing it to get a lack of pressure.. bike is a 2003 Z1000 ith about 10,500 miles

Definitely check the switch and wiring first...worst case, wheelies have starved the engine for oil causing excessive wear and clearances resulting in lower pressure.

And some where between the bad switch and mejor engine damage would be your oil pump has failed or has been damaged from running dry from the wheelies...

Thanks for the imput guys... I found out that im jsut retarded after talking to the KAwi mechanic.....

I thought i was losing faith in my Brand till now...

I just mounted a belly pan form Ermax on the Z and in the process didnt see the tiny sensor wire runing with the motor, soi in mounting the brackets for the pan i crushed the wire... just need to splice it and reconnect and im good..... and wheelies killing it are a safety precaution.. i love Kawi.

And starving it isnt happemnoing i never wheelie for more hten maybe 3 seocnds tops.. and not up very high....and being a inline 4 helps..... the feed is pretty far back too, so im not worried aobut that... more aobut it cuasing things ot loosen up and maybe make the oil pump gear loose enough to get out of tollerance and not catch... But ill trust kawis quality and ride on.. Glad im retarded not the Kawi pump assembly.

Ahhh...had you said "I've been having a problem with my oil light since I added a belly pan..." the answers would have been completely different:D

Actually, I've done that...I pinched the wire to the oil pressure switch and the light came on when the guy got a few miles down the road. Happens to the best of us.
