That was insane last night. I was at Cowelly's in Farmington, where we go after our monthly meetings (WOS meetings) with some people. The entire bar stopped and was clued to the TV's. What a scene at the Palace. Not cool. Even This is going to make Detroit look really really bad but I'll say this...I enjoyed the hell out of it last night. :cheers:

The league issued a statement saying it was reviewing rules and security procedures ``so that fans can continue to attend our games unthreatened by events such as the ones that occurred last night"

Thank God they got it right and won't give the black eye to Detroit.

artest will still make out in this deal..u know he's gonna sue to fan who threw beer on him and kept antagonizing him...and the fan will in turn counter-sue him... as well as countless other lawsuits im sure..

Artest isn't going to sue anyone. His agent won't let him do something stupid like that. He has no grounds for it. The players association will try and get him out of the suspension but it won't happen. If Artest is smart, he'll keep his mouth shut because he's going to be shelling out money to every fan he touched in that crowd and the Oakland County Prosecuter is going to have a field day with him and O'Neal and Jackson. I don't care if he had a cup thrown at him, he crossed the line and caused a riot. Artest will lose 5 million in salary for the rest of the season plus countless amounts in lawsuits. Good job guys. This is what happens when you fill the league with thugs.

if he's smart, he'll keep his mouth shut, I agree. take your punishment like a man, and move on. but dont you think he's gonna try and recoup some of that money with counter law suits, or basically whatever can be rationalized?

No, he's going to settle out of court so he doesn't get the bad press plus settling out of court will result in less overall lawyer fees and lawsuit amounts. Say someone's going after him for 10 bucks. They can fight over it but if he knows he'll lose in the end, just offer up 7 or 8 bucks or both parties are in court forever and the lawyer fees just keep going up. That's the way he'll save (recoup) some of that money he stands to lose.

This is all over the radio in MI and according to the Oakloand County Prosecuter, they are pros. every person involved! Assult to anybody who threw anything and feleny assult to anybody who hit somebody or cause harm. They are just trying to track down all the individuals.

The law suits are going to fly!!!

Also, the Pistons play at the Pacer's on x-mas or somin...I wonder how that is going to turn out. There is also going to be some affects on the beer sales..you watch!!

They better not screw with beer sales or I'll be pissed!! Can someone confirm exactly when the 2 teams play again?
