Is it just me or are motorcyles parking magnets?? was at the coffee shop the other day and there were about 4-5 empty spaces to either side of my bike and yet every car that pulled up would park right next to the bike??????

It happens everytime to other bikers there as well.... last weekend this biker had a really nice custom chopper and again several spaces between my bike and his and yet every car that pulled up parked either right next to mine or his... his wife goes "out of all the spaces..."

Yeah but are you parked right next to the front door of the biz? Also, how are you parked? Rear wheel to the curb? if so that should be no big deal!

This is my favorite gripe. People in LA complain about motorcycle taking up a full parking space. Well people if I wasn't on my ride I'd be in a cage and I'd be taking up a full parking space. Either way it is not available to you!! If there are more than just me we park two to a spot and then we always get some cager 2 inches from our wheels.

I am with you here...When I was living in Daytona, we would drive South on the beach almost to Ponce Inlet to find a stretch of empty beach. Then next DumbA$$ along, with 50 yards of open beach would pull up right next to me so they could bang my doors getting out...Of course, I then proceed to embarrass M and the kids by Screaming at the flippin' idiot until they move the car...some people you just want to :hang:

One of the reasons I love where I work is that so many guys ride, we actually have an area right in front of the door to ourselves. You actually have to walk farther to the door if you drive.

Now that is justice.

everytime i go to a store I always park on a end space. Even if it has to be in BFE! Although I should do this more often, but sometime I str8 up park on the sidewalk next to the door. The only thing I don't like about that is people looking at it and touching it.

I thought I was the only one that hated having his bike touched. It feels like they are taking a part of my SOUL. :yikes:

Ok thats is a little drastic but you get my point. Keep your F'ing hands to yourself, :cursin: didn't your parents teach you anything?

I'll bet some people park next to you to avoid having a car next to them. It reduces by 50% the chances they'll get a ding from a cage's door. I am the kind of person who evaluates a space including the type of vehicle and number of doors on it. 'Course, I don't go out of my way to part next to a bike, but small 4-door cars are some of my favs to get next to.

As for touching, absolutely angering. And my bike's really nastied up, but I trust almost no one to touch.
