Here is a question I found...
I would put rear wheel to the curb, bike about a 45 degree angle to the curb, side-stand pointed down hill, and bike pointed uphill. If you leave the bike pointed downhill, the bike could slide forward and cause the side-stand to fold up.
Also on blacktop, be sure to put something between your stand and the ground. A smashed pop can or something of that nature. Otherwise the stand coule sink into the tarmac an cause your bike to tip. Learned this the hard way. The blacktop gets soft in warm weather. Something to keep in mind especially while on a hill. Being on a hill will put a bit more weight on the stand than if on flat. :dthumb:
.....is there a certain angle to the curb i should be parking my bike if i park it on an inclined plane??? say like a hill on the streets of san francisco?? im kind of reluctanct to put the kick stand down cuz i think the bike might fall over because of the ground being at an incline
