man, this one brings back memories..

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then rode
down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes..
After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

Some of the parents of Austin's friends scowl at the way I run the household. AND Because I am not up my children's a$$es every 5 seconds. I REFUSE to shelter my kids. I'm going to let them BE kids and if they don't like the way I raise my kids f--- them.

One of the things at the PTO Mothers Meeting was, 9/11. Boy, did they not like it when I told them I let Austin watch what was going on. And when he asked questions, I put the answers into terms that he would understand.

And I TOTALLY disagree with the whole. "video games and violence on TV makes kids do EVIL things." Bull$hit! I think the parents are at fault. It all begins with discipline. If the kids are not disciplined for their wrong doings, it will only get worse. BUT that's just my opinion. And the last time I checked, we WERE allowed to have our own individual sound-mind. LOL

It's funny how times really change. Hell, back in the day you could fart sideways and people would hoot and holler and think it's funny. You do that NOW and people cringe and tell you that you are going to hell. Life was so much simpler back then.
