It's 71 degrees and partly sunny on January 2nd here in Northern Alabama, how great is that? I'm so glad I stopped calling metro Detroit home in 1992. Snow and rain showers suck. :)

I maybe offline for the rest of the day. :)

It was 60 today and some wind. I was going to Lookout Mountain and saw a sportbike at the light, but in the turning lane. I was going straight, but I got next to him in his lane. He had an R6 and said that he saw me several times before. I told him where I lived and he's about a mile away on the same road.

He was a young man with several piercings on his face. But he was a gentleman because he gave his helmet to his girlfriend on the back. I told him I was going to Lookout Mt. He said that he rode it often, but he had to drop off his girl then go home. The light turned green and we went smoothly around the corner then I gunned it. He didn't. I guess because with a passenger, his R6 would have wheelied for sure.

Later, when I was coming off the mountain, I got behind a BMW 1200S. I did a demo ride on one and loved the suspension. We were going down a steep hill with washboard asphalt near the bottom. My handlebar was bouncing up and down, but his was steady. He turned at the bottom and I headed home.

 It was nearly 80 yesterday...but the thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail and damaging winds were a bummer...

Supposed to be mid 70's today with sunshine...might have to tow the bee to the hard road and ride it today!!
