anyone got personalized plates on their bike? i see lots of cruisers with them. i thought i'd jump on the bandwagon. not so easy being clever with only 5 letters.

I don't see many, but I have seen them on sportbikes. Like you said, there isn't much room on a little MC plate.

Put one on my Harley...."HD4FURY"....showed a friend my bike and he said "Head for Fury" that's pretty cool....

And I said ahhh, it is suppose to say Harley-Davidson for Fury, but I do like your translation. :lol:

I was going to get personalized plates. Here you can in NC you can get 7 letters, was going to go with QUIKSLVR, but obviously I was one letter over. What stopped me was that DMV wants to add a +$30 charge every year in your registration for the personalized platers. I can see +$30 for the first year, because the plate has to be made, instead of just taking what's handed you, but +$30 every year after that? Why?

So, now I've got some generic plate instead, and I couldn't be happier. I got a plate, on a bike, for me that was just the coolest thing.

Chris and I got lucky....I have a cousin that works at DMV here....so we on one bike have our intials......CPSMMS.....and on another we have the day we were married 71502......and then Chris has one with just his name and then one with just his last name.....ugh and men think us women are concieted....LOL

My Vanity...

Plates are.... Corvette= GRA GST, and my 'Busa= GRA GS2, for, "Gray Ghost" and "Gray Ghost 2" respectively. My 'Vette is white, (Think Casper, and the 'Busa is Blk&Slvr).... if you won't get a plate,then you wouldn't customize your bike either.the cop's will remember a custom bike.
