You can buy a powdercoat gun for about $100. Powders are around $10 per color for a good amount. For small parts, you can use an old toaster oven. I do bigger parts in the inside "food" oven.
After this small investment, you can go nuts. I have powder coated over 100 parts on my bike. Many are bolt ends.
It is really easy, quick, almost foolproof. I like that after 20 minutes in the oven, and a 10 minute cooldown, the part can be put back on.
