Product Review Quick Reference

We are instituting a new ratings system you may quickly determine how well we liked the product we tested. Our testing is real-life and our ratings will be based on our assessment and opinion of the product we’re testing. There is no scientific formula or one-size fits all approach when it comes to rating a product. We intend to put, into words, our experience and let you decide if the product is right for you; we may love it and you may hate it.

As our in-depth reviews are typically lengthy and chock full of information, and the new graphical rating system provides another way for you to see how we think the product stacks up. We still encourage you to read the review and understand how we derived the ratings for the product. The ratings are meant to complement each review, not stand on their own.

Our graphics are simple representations of a motorcycle speedometer and gear indicator. Fifth gear is the highest rating, and if a product can't get out of first gear we didn't care much for it.
