I am looking for a reasonably priced jacket. I would like something that will keep me warm in the winter. Oh and im in Louisiana, so winters usually are not very cold. I have to wear a long sleeve jacket at the drag strip, so I would need to wear it at during the summer and not burn up too bad (a removable liner would be nice). There are so many choices I was hoping to hear some input from everyone. Thanks in advance :cheers:

have u looked into perforated leather jackets, Alpinestars has some with removable quilted liner jackets.

I have the AGV tex-05, With the vents closed and the liner in no air passes throught it. But open the vents in the front and you will cool right off. Remove the liner and temps above 75 are extremely bearable with it on. I would wear this coat in anything above say 45 starting with a sweater under then shed as the temps get warmer. Not sure Under 45 would do if I were going a ways. Here is a pic of mine. It also is a Padded elbow, shoulder and back pad. And fully adjustable you can sinch it up every where to cut down on wind noise. Just a very nice coat. For spring through Fall here in NJ.

For winter I'd get a solid leather jacket. For summer I'd get a perferated leather jacket. Spend the money, it's worth it. A good jacket will have removable liners.

I suggest going to a bike shop and finding a style you like and see what size you need. Then come back to your comp and check www.newenough.com and see what kind of deals you can get on it.

I like my Joe Rocket Rasp Jacket.

It is light and very well vented for hot days and warm enough for 50 degree ridding. Anything cooler than that. I would have to go back to my JR Ballistic.
