Gee, I've heard this question before from a WOS member with a g/f riding.
As I said then, NO WAY! Take a quart of car oil and MC oil and look at the label. The API Service codes are different. This is a easy way to show some of the differences.
A quart of CAR Mobil oil: API Service: SL,SJ,SH,SG
A quart of KawaChem MC oil: API Service: SJ,SH,SG,FM
A quart of Amsoil MC: API Service: SH,SG,CF
The other importance to note. The Kaw MC oil hass K-77 additive to extended the life of the oil due to the MC clutch and tranny's using the same oil. In your car that isn't the case. The car oil, just isn't designed to be used with wet clutches.
Another funny note. No where on the Mobil car oil does it say anything about using it in a MC. It does says car, van and light truck, but no MC.
