I've never messed around with the idle adjuster on a FI bike... but mine's come lose or something (can't control the idle speed). I turn the knob and nothing happens.

Anyone know how to fix? I'm just going to pull apart the bike on the weekend with my brother until we get to it, just wanted everyone's :2cents:

Yeah it runs to a screw in you airbox. Check to make sure its still there and snug. Not tight but snug. Do you have an owner manual? It would be big help. If not I could scan mine and share the needed pages with u. I have the same bike just in a race form amoung others.

Shan--90% of FI bikes have an SI adjuster. Im sure the SV's do.

It's loser than it was... it will turn indefinatly now with no change in idle. you say it's connected to the airbox? i gues i'll have to take the tank off and look.

I downloaded an '04 book but i couldn't really find a good diagram of it. i found one in the maintenence section, but it didn't help me much.

Anything you could send would be awesome! my email is [email protected] :dthumb:

He meant that it is attached to the air box. The part your looking for at the other end should be connected to the throttle linkage on the throttle bodies. Not sure specifically how for your bike.
