Anyone other than myself, enjoy riding in the rain?
you learn to ride real smooth with well balanced cornering. oh yeah, you can still corner at speeds in the rain, just don't use your front brakes.
It's mostly throttle control and engine braking. when you really need to brake, use both front and rear with equal pressure.

:welcome: to TWF

I'm not a fan of riding in the rain. I will when neded and not afraid of a wet road. I just respect them more. I even did 1/2 a track day in the wet. It sucked but, You defiantly learn how to be smooth or your picking you and the bike up.

when it rains a lot more smoothness comes out in the rider. I have spent a lot of miles in the rain. I can't say I enjoy it, however I can tolorate it when I have to ride in it.

When I made my trips to the GAP last year I made myself enjoy it...cus :damn: it rain'd everytime I went.

Not a fan of getting wet...besides, It takes hours of cleaning after riding in the rain...I will when I have to, but I think I would rather go to the dentist then ride in the rain...

Things I don't like about riding in rain in the city are splashback, manhole covers, and those white vinyl crosswalk stripes. In the mountains, a heavy rain can overflow the drainage on the side of the road and deposit silty-mud in the corners. That stuff is slippery.

Not neccessarily a 'fan' of riding in the rain, but I wont skip a ride because of rain. For me, My absolute favorite time to ride is on a Hot summer night.. sometimes I will just ride all night, come home about 5-6 am.

okay well how about riding in the rain, to go to the dentist?

I think I hate the Dentist a helluva lot more than riding in rain, but I dont even like riding in the rain in my car. PEOPLE DRIVE CRAZY!!! NOBODY slows down. In fact, they speed up. I will watch ,from behind, cars hydroplane, and the driver doesnt even notice it :yikes: AZ rain drivers scare the **** out of me...

Funny you say that....I had a dentist appointment this past Spring where the probability for rain was 90-95%. Luckily for me, I was able to make it to my appointment and back to work before the downpour. Like others have said, I don't mind the rain, I don't prefer to ride in it. I will skip a ride if it's raining or rain is on the way though.

Hell yeah ride in the rain. Real riders ride in the rain :D .. its a great way to improve your skills. If you can ride well in the rain, you can ride even better on good weather days.

Nothing like an extended rain ride to settle you down and smooth you out...I'm with you , Speed...rain riding is just another skill to put in my bag of tricks with the added plus of making me better...............
