First off, :welcome:

Second, I have moved your thread to the tech section for hopefully better response, although most of the time it don't matter on TWF.

Third, I'm sure if you have a desent fabricator anything is possible!

Have you found the pure size dimensions between the HD motor vs the RC51 motor? You would think that if you have the 1200cc buell that the 1000cc RC51 would fit!

That's an interesting concept.
I don't believe the Sporty engine and the RC engine have any mounting points or dimensions that are even close. Plus, you would have to make room for the two throttle bodies and two radiators. I'm sure it could be done with the right fabricator, patients, time and money.

Well you can do a one rad. setup.

And that's not even considering you would have to convert the rear to chain and crap...

On a different but related note. Collecting parts for a Ducati DS1000 powered Firebolt XB9. I have most of what I need, with the acceptation of the main (gas tank) frame. I have to find one both in decent shape and importable to Canada, 2006 or newer. Ideally one already registered in Canada would work best. If anyone had any leads, just drop me a line. I still have a lot of work to do, but can not really check into clearance problems until I actually have the frame in my hands. Does anyone know if the Longs used a different frame? Or was the additional 2" all added to the swingarm?

I noticed in the above posts the comment about the belt/chain. The Duc uses a left hand drive and I very much want to keep the belt drive. I am working on an adapter for the front pulley (Baker Drivetrain P/N 292-56F) and a Buell 1125 70T rear.
