Sorry to put that tread in this forum but, I think the people on this forum are open-minded and can give me a point of view of the american nation. The newspapers report that Pat Roberson (religious leader) call for the assasination of Hugo Chavez? Is that right? because I thought only muslin religious leader :screwy: were doing that.

Robertson calls for assassination of Chavez

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson called on Monday for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, calling him a “terrific danger” to the United States.

Robertson, founder of the Christian Coalition of America and a former presidential candidate, said on “The 700 Club” it was the United States’ duty to stop Chavez from making Venezuela a “launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism.
Chavez has emerged as one of the most outspoken critics of President Bush, accusing the United States of conspiring to topple his government and possibly backing plots to assassinate him. U.S. officials have called the accusations ridiculous.
 ...wont those two groups inherently try to cancell each other out?? In essence Pat is trying to stop someone that is inadvertently helping him.
If I understand the whole thing (by reading Pigface1 post #18 of this thread) muslim or christian religious extremists think the same way: how can somebody be stupid enough to say that God called 9/11? :screwy: Those extremists are good for the nut-house!!!!
You're correct. The religious right was the single factor that kept me voting Republican for 10 years. Then, the left got worst than them, so I'm back voting R.

We're all screwed. lol
for an evangelist believing God has a hand in everything, its contrary to himself to call for an assasination. According to Pats beliefs, God would have done it already if it was so important. instead hes supposing the percieved will.
