I don't know about the Kawasaki manual, but the Honda manual sucks. A single line-drawing for each operation. I paid $45 at the dealer for the shop manual for my model. Whenever you need detailed info, the manual refers you to the common manual. Instead, I bought the common manual on CD for $5, but what a pain to look up something when your hands are greasy. I think an original is much better than a scanned CD.

I also have the Haynes manual for my Honda. That manual is terrific. It includes everything, including many things that aren't in the shop manual or common manual. I don't know how the new Suzuki manuals are, but the shop manual for my 79 is the best ever. There are hundreds of pages and about a thousand photos, including photos of partially assembled projects. I would go to a Kawi dealer and see what their manual looks like.

I posted a link on WorldSportbike forum with just about every manual in it... seriously... I had to make two posts about it... I'll post it up here when I get home and can access that site... (it's blocked from work) but if you have access to it... just do a search for "need a manual?" or through my posts... Ebbs15 on that board too...
