I have to carry my helmet with me. The helmet hook on the 05 R6 is ONLY on the underside of the passenger seat and then the passenger seat locks down. There is no helmet hook on the underside of the solo cowl, so I have to carry the helmet if I go in someplace.

Its all depends on the location.
If its a so-so place I take my helmet inside with me and always wear my jacket because I keep all my money in my jacket. Some of my low cut jeans dont have pockets so I put my money in the jacket.
Everytime I go somewhere I always get looked at like "She rides a motorcycle" and I am like YEAH BEITOCHHHH!!! :lol:

Generally I will wear or carry my jacket and carry my helmet.
However, I will hang my helmet on the hook under the seat or cowl..the hooks on my 9R are part of the bike not the seat.
I also carry a steel braided chain and lock that I use to lock the jacket to the bike if I'm going someplace that requires walking around and I don't want to carry it. Just run the cable thru the sleeve and lock it to the bike. They'll have to cut the jacket to get it!

Wear jacket, carry helmet. When i have a back pack i dtrap the jacket to the pack. The only time i leave anything on the bike is if im at a friends house. In public, people are savages and i dont rely on other good judgement. Especially teens....buncha punk kids.....

My friend Webb had his helmet strap cut in half by some a-holes when he used the helmet hook under his passenger seat. Rendered the helmet useless. I'm never letting that happen with my $600 helmet. Besides, it's a major PITA trying to get the bike home without a helmet, just an inconvenience for all.
Of course, if I am hanging around the bike, I'll just lay the jacket over the seat and prop the helmet on the mirror.

I'd have to say I carry everything, lid and jacket. I mean wouldn't you when your lid was $550.00 and jacket was $450.00? I won't be putting anything on the bike and leaving it there unless I'm gonna be like within sight distance (25yards) of it! I don't trust anyone, I mean I have the forks locked, disc lock on it and it's just sitting in the garage!

People will look at you (well, not you really) but the bike and be like, "Does he think that cable is gonna save his jacket?" They'll just cut the jacket and take it or cut it and leave it there just to teach you a lesson.
It's kinda like one of those pet peeves of mine. Those people who park their car over the line or way out cause it's like "expensive" and they think their car is the snit. I saw a guy park a new RX8 with the line going through the center of his car. I told him, "You're the type of person that my friends and I in New York used to slash all your tires." He got a little mad, then moved it to one space just like 6 spots down from everyone else.

That was in my younger years. Like when I was 10, you know how it was hanging out with older people, it was like a must to impress them. And I don't know where you live, but if you grow up in a big city like New York, you'd realize that not everyone is 'nice' and people do things to others just to piss them off and be a moron. That's like saying why do people steal cars, vandalize cars, spray paint and all that other stuff?

ok glad to see this didnt turn into an argument but i understand, i grew up dwon in west palm FL not as big as NY but, I get the point, just as long as you dont do it anymore. Now u just remeinded me of all the stupid sh!t i did when i was younder :bash: :cheers:
