Do you do it? I try not to, keys and the like especially. If I go down, the last thing I need is my house key jabbing me. I do usually have my wallet on me, and my MP3 player in the jacket pocket for short rides.

I cant stand having stuff in my pockets..my wallet being the exception..feels to constricting if you ask me. I keep anything I have either under my seat or in my backpack, since that goes to work with me everyday.

I keep my keys on one of those keyrings that has the clip on it, that hooks to my bet loop..*word the wise, make sure you bet loops are starting to tear away from your jeans.  *

I try to ride with everything out of the pockets. If I have anything in them, I take it out and put it in the storage department. :D

I agree Shan, it sucks.

Have you ridden w/ an MP3 player for long? I'm afraid to for a couple reasons. One, I don't think I could hear my surroundings very well. Two, I'm afraid a song would come on that would force me to drive like a complete maniac. lol

my wallet is in my pocket, but my keys are in the igntion, so i'm not to worried there. I'll have to take a couple photos of my cell phone, though. Had that in my pocket over the weekend and it somehow fell out along my ride. Someone found it and I got it back, but pavement and cell phones don't mix. Amazingly it still works, just beat up aruond the edges.

If i'm heading any where far I wear my jacket so I have plenty of pockets. But for those quick rides I use my seat compartment. I had a tank bag once and it scratched the shiznit out of my tank. Little rocks would get stuck to the magnets.

that sux you didn't get yours back. the guy who returned mine was a true class act. I knew the general area it went down at, as I found the belt clip on the shoulder. So I was walking back and forth kicking at grass and leaves when a truck pulls up. Guy says "are you Dave?" I'm like "yup" and he hands me my phone. He says "I was going down the list calling your friends and they said you lived out here by the lake and had a motorcycle, so figured I'd find you or your house."

We need more folks like that in the world.

 Wow - around here they'd be breaking into your house because they knew you were out searching for your phone.

I ride with a few things in my pocket.. I just don't go down - lol.. Actually I went down in the mud once, kind of like my mother kicked me in the balls once - once, and I had **** in my pocket and it wasn't a problem.. Of course concrete might be a little different.. I will still ride with **** in my pocket - keys, pocketknife, license, credit card, cash - not alot but just the essentials..
