Take 28 West to Point of Rocks; 672 W to Lovettsville; 17 s (Berlin pike) tp just past Wheatland; 9W (Charlestown pike) through Charlestown, Martinsburg and Hedgesville. Most of this part of the trip is rolling hills and sweepers, some traffic lights through the farm towns; the further west you go the lighter the weekend traffic. When you get to Hedgesville, the road gets rolly/twisty 'till you get to Berkely Springs Follow the RT9 sings through town (you take a hard right at the Sheetz and go up a few blocks 'till you see the rt9 sign; it's a hard left, and easy to miss, but you shall be rewarded with 20 miles of switchbacks up and down the mountain and sweepers , with excellent pavement all the way to Paw-Paw. We usually pop up north to 144 and then cruise back down...it's a real workout. I have some great loops through MD./Penn. through the numerous state parks and forest.

Let me know how you likey.....

I live in Pasadena, Md (between Baltimore and Annapolis)..but I've been known to ride anywhere....I frequent the Renovo area in PA, The WV/ MD Panhandle, the Snowshoe, WV area and most points in between.....if it has nice roads, I'll ride to ride 'em.....
