I thought there was a forum around here for offering up thoughts on improving the site but I can't seem to find it.......

How about offering an RSS feed of active topics? Man, that would really simplify my life.

RSS is a news aggregator. Check out the home page for Sage for things aggregators typically do. Basically they gather items from a web site and put them into a single spot for you to view.

I can view the latest news from BBC, NYTimes, and any other system that opts to set it up. Big time saver for those who wander the 'net daily over lots of sites.

Isn't that what the AP or MSNBC is for and not TWF???

I use the "new posts" button or the active topics drop down...

Well, consider that most people visit more than one forum. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see all the "new posts" succinctly written in one place? Its hard to describe how it would be used w/o some prior news aggregator experience.

Mind you, I haven't seen this on a forum yet (though I have in hybrids), but its only a matter of time, IMO.

I like it the way it is with the new posts sign for each topic. Since I have dial-up, I don't care about videos, and I don't read the track threads. And I only click on some of the general threads. I like picking and choosing what thread catagories I want to read, not all new posts.

I'm a new post junkie. :whore: When I'm here, I start with today's post. Then new post till I have read through all or at least all I have time for. :whore: When at other forums. I check the Important (to me) sections. then start on new post for current topics.
