...Ricky Gadson ran a 9.30 on a bone stock ZX14 yesterday and after they bolted on a 6" over swingarm and a pipe he ran an 8.35...still on a stock motor!

Pretty impresive. That's the same guy who ran high 9's on a stock '05 R6 right? Didn't he just lower it and change the gearing a bit?
Yep, same guy. He was running low 10's with a stock R6, then lowered it and changed the gearing by 1 tooth and got it down to 9.9x.

Yeah but most of those specs haven't been proved or dis-proved!

 True, but from experience in squezzing as much out of a motor as possible, there is no equation that would work out to reach such times. Not even a Busa.:nonod:

Sorry guys...I did a little research and it seems he ran a 9.37 stock (possibly lowered a little) and more like a mid-8 with a 6" over swingarm, tire, pipe, and air shifter. I heard the rumor when my sales manager got a call from a buddy of his that was at the track watching it happen and then I found some more details on another forum.

Either way, this is very good news for Kawasaki and very bad news for Suzuki :D
