I may be getting a job in Fort Stewart, Georgia and I know it's by Savannah. Is there any decent riding around there? If you live around that area, how long (like months during the year) can you ride?

You're moving again? Well, at least you're in closer proximity to the GAP!
Yeah, I may be moving again. Gotta go where the money is and the job that I am currently appling for here in Texas (and probably starting on Wednsday) is only like $30K but the job in Savannah is like $55K with costs pretty much the same as here so...Kinda a hard decision!
Plus, I love the ocean and love the bad weather that hits that area as you already know.

I live in Savannah -- we are 4 hours to excellent riding in N. GA. and 7 hours to Deals Gap. There are NO twisties here at all. The local crotch rocket talent run around popping wheelies and have an occasional track day. They are very unorganized and it's difficult to get them together for a ride to the twisties. I go to the twisties about every month and would love to have more people from here that want to go. Weather is great -- we don't ever have hurricanes hit here and of course beaches are fine.

Doesn't the bad weather kind of go against the whole riding thing?? The sun is what keeps me in Kalifornia. That and lane sharing. :)

Joe,

That's cool. I'll keep you and Tuna informed if I get the job so I can hook up with you two and we can go riding. You two gotta go easy though, still like new and on a 2005 R6 so I don't wanna ruin the "not dropped yet" deal...

Ah, beach is great. The track, well if they won't let me take the bike on it then it's worthless. I didn't really read into the site though so I don't know.
