Hey all, Roach and I try to take 1-2 schools per season. Our favorite school so far out of all we've taken is the one done by Champion Sportbike Club.

Champion Sportbike Club also has track day groups, as well. Since they are just starting their own gig (used to teach with TPM then broke off to do their own thing), the track time you get is amazing!

Here's the review I wrote for anyone interested:

I've gotta try this! It's close enough to me since I am in PA. Awesome write up and pics Laura. Can you just get track time, and how much $ does it costs for track time?

thanks jeeps. I found it after I posted. i need to get my @ss out there SOON. I haven't been out on the track yet, but it is something I want to do so bad, and so many have told me I am at the level I need to be on the track. The one factor that I know will come into play is the costs of track time, and the risks and or the damage to the bike.

What risk!
If you ride within your limits, It will be the best fun you have ever had ridding your bike.
I have watched several people get wake up calls on track days. (myself included) Think they are fast till then or crash trying to prove they are fast.
Don't worry about that and go have safe fun.
Don't push your self to the limits unless you can afford to fix your bike and even your self.

Thanks Jeeps., I would really like to wait until I get the 07 R1 before I take the SV to the track since the SV will be the designated bike for track. Somehow I don't think i can wait that long to get out there. This year has been eating me alive to get out there and have fun. Some how I will have to save my :2cents: to get out there.

I think I'm going to wait till next year, I don't get my big pay raise until November, by then it will be too late, then in May of 06 I will be doing really well so it will be a all the time thing. If I don't keep buying new toys.

Or you can come south with us.
We do track day year round thanks mostly to Jennings and a few others.
Pocono, VIR, CMP are closer than the Gap for you.
It would make a nice mini vacation.

Yep for the track info.
Click for the event sponsors. You don't have to take the school. Just sign up for the Sport group.
$225 for this 4.5 mile track.
They do (mostly) North track and South track events for $175
Its my favorite track.

Wow! You are going to brave the grand course??? More power to you! I struggle enough with just the North course. I have a friend who took a grand course on board video if you want me to post up a link. I bet you will have a total blast, but you're gonna be tired!!!! I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Jeeps, are you pretty local to VIR?

Laura
