Well I finally got a chance to take the new lid out for a spin to see how it does. It does GREAT! Now granted, I only have about 150 miles with it...but that's a start. It's a Scorpion EXO-700 Fury.(See Here!)The only helmets I have to compare it to are HJCs and KBCs...so keep that in mind.
The helmet has vents out the wazoo 6 total I believe. I was adjusting them during the ride and I will say that they definitely work...they're not just there for looks. They're easy to manipulate with gloved hands...and you'll know by airflow if they are open or closed.
No fog visor? I tried really hard to get this visor to fog up and had absolutely no luck. I was riding in about 65 degree weather...I would try exhaling as hard as I could while not moving to get the visor to fog up and it just wasn't happening. Very impressed as my HJC and KBC fogged up rather quickly.
Quiet? I honestly don't know how or if they coould make a helmet quieter than this one is. The quietest helmet I've ever worn...hell it's just quiet period. I just don't know how else to say it...this helmet is extremely quiet! I rode at town speeds on up to 120+.
Comfort? As I stated before...The longest I have had it on is about a solid hour and a half...it was very comfortable and no hot spots developed at all. It's very aerodynamic..did not experience any buffeting.
I can tell you that based on my experience so far...I will own and wear one of these helmets as long as I am riding and I would wholeheartedly recommend that everyone try this helmet out if the get a chance.
