I didn't think it was easy at all. One side would come off...but the other was kind of a b#$ch. I could change visors on my other helmets easier than this one. Fortunately, I don't change my visors often so it's a non-issue.
See my review (sticky) in here. I had the same thing happen, but with a little finesse it came free. It took me a long time to master my Shoei so I'll give it time with this one.
Welcome to the site work2ride2much. I think you're right, in fact I mentioned so in my article. I don't have occasion to change the visor frequently enough to use the mechanism. I'm sure I'll get it down.
