Got it home after a great night of rain-riding and in the morning i see that i've picked up what seems to be a big screw about 1 1/2 inch off center to the right in my rear tire. all i can see is the slightly worn head of the screw...

i called the dealer about plug-n-patch prices and it was around $80

My buddy can get tires at cost so i think i'm just going to get all new tires (i am a sucker when it comes to buying things for my bike).

What do you guys think of the Bridgestone BT020?

Any Pro's and Cons? i can get both front and rear installed for around $170

Wow...170 for what kind of tires? Personally, I love the Michelin Pilot Powers...they stick pretty doggone well. I think mine was 130 Euro for the rear though. A whole lot more expensive than what you were quoted.

I am going to get a new tire soon and it will be this very tire. I have felt good on them. It gives good wet weather traction and long tread life. 8900 on them. I dont ride hard though. I play but not a kneedragger for sure.

im not a fan of the 020 at all. If the road is a little cold the tires are slippery. They last but you give up confidence for miles. And if thats your CBR in the avatar, i really wouldnt get them. :2cents:

You can see that everybody is saying what I said... they will step out in mid corner... and there is nothing like having a tire that you know has your back! The Pilot Powers are that tire! You know going into anything that they will maintain their grip!!

Alright, thanks for the input guys! i'm still very new and i don't ride that hard (as i'm still a newbie) so i may still get them just because they're such an awesome deal. If i ever go to a track, i will definatly look into some other tires. Just from home to work and back i still may get them.

and yes, that is my baby in the avatar!

Whateva big dog. You can personally say Bridgestones are NFG?

Dude don't listen to any of these clowns - listen to this (no one ever does because I speak the truth and no one wants to hear the fugging truth) -

If you are riding on the street mostly buy the Bridgestones - they are great street tires and last forever.

If you are riding street / track get the Pilot Powers - if you are just cruising on the street and not dragging knee, etc. you are wasting your money on Powers.

Finally - NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER - DID I SAY NEVER EVER? - EVER NEVER NEVER PLUG A TIRE ON A MOTORCYCLE - Just plain ignorant unless your health, well being and life isn't worth a few extra dollars for a new tire.

Ok bring on the stupid asses who say I plugged a tire and it is ok.. Blow me twice and call me Sally you dumb bastards.
