Hey Guys,

I'm trying to set my shift timing indicator light on my R6. I'm following my owner's manual, and I can't even get started. The manual says to push the RESET button to select one of the indicator light acitivity settings, but it doesn't mention whether the key should be in the "ON" or "OFF" position. I've tried both anyway and when I push the RESET button, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Anyone who has a R6 or is familiar with R6 settings, please help. Thanks.

The key will have to be ON. You have to hold the button in for a few seconds.

Exactly... there is no way to do anyhting with the dash with the key off!

You could use a hammer on it with the key off. That would get results. :lol:

You need to push the reset button in while the key is off and then turn the key on while holding the reset button still. You will need to cycle through the backround light, then the shift indicator light before you can adjust which RPM's the indicator will go on/off. I believe that's how I did it on my '04. If that doesn't work, let me know and I will look at my manual.
