SPLIT off Gas Man's "She's gone to a warmer place..."

Well I'm still waiting to hear anything or see how it's tracking. I called JC motors and they told me that the reason it was not tracking yet was because North American Van Lines are completing an overhual of their systems. Don stated that the system would be up and running by tomarow so I'm just waiting to check it out. If I find that the bike has not left michigan yet then I will be very disappointed. The hurricane is supposed to hit over the weekend so for that I really do hope they get the bike to me before then...
I should be able to find out tomarow so I will keep you guys posted. I hope but somewhat doubt that their systems will even be up tomarow.. they were supposed to have the bike down to me tomarow or thursday. I doubt that but I'm excited to see.. trust me around 1 am I will be checking again just in case they got it up and running by 12.. I've been very disappointed with the service with shipping so far but if they do deliver by thursday that will change my mind.
I even went to the Tax Collector today and got a temp tag b/c I couldn't get a permanent one due to a requirement of inspection of the VIN...

I will keep you guys updated and this should prove to be a good evaluation of www.motorcycleshippers.com

:cursin: :tt: :tt: Figures the system is not up and running yet. It's still saying that the item is at its origin and the driver is assigned.. :wbs: :wbs: :wbs:
I can't wait to get a straight answer out of them... :bash: :bash:

Awwww... No Worries guys.. The bike was supposed to be delivered today or tomarow..

Can you Guess Where the Bike is NOW????

NO?? We'll, I had to call to find out and you know what they told me?
It's currently in Cincinnati Ohio :cursin:
Still over 1,000 miles from its destination.. They said it would be leaving Ohio on Friday :wbs: :wbs:
And it should be in Atlanta, Georgia by saterday??? Delivery "Should" be sometime monday afternoon or evening. That is if the driver decides to make the trip down given the hurricane that's supposed to hit. The hurricane would not be a problem if they had not [email protected]#ed up in the first place!

In my opinion if you are looking for someone to ship your bike do not go with JC Motors.. For all intents and purposes you can :flush: their company for any of my business in the future.. I will pay the extra $100 to get my bike on time and as specified then to be going through this again...

I might be a littled PO'ed right now, and may change my tune when I actually recieve the bike, but for now with all intents and purposes
:puke: JC Motors.

It cost about $550.00 to ship.. Not too bad it's just that they gave both me and GasMan a time frame for pickup and delivery.. Saying that it would take approximately 1 to five days for pickup, where if you are located in a city it would be relatively quick.. So I was expecting 2 days or so, then when 4 days came around they called and said they were picking the bike up the next day.. GasMan took the day off of work, losing a day's paycheck and guess what happened? they called and said that the pallet was never loaded, blaiming it on someone else, where both the driver and loader should have double checked... So it sat there for the weekend and now it's going to be delivered 6 days after they said it should have been...

I'm pretty reassured as I beleive they take great care of the bike but I'm just disappointed as to the timeframe quoted and the current situation.
I have less reason to be upset as GasMan as he actually lost money because of all of this.. I just have to wait longer for the bike.. I'm very impatient when it comes to things like this, the inner child in me takes over!

Ya no doubt Blade. The only thing is whether or not this crappy service is normal for MC shipping? I sure hope not!

I hope not too, for their sake..

In Regards to shipment.. The HITS KEEP ON COMING!
Hurricane Wilma slowed down so now it probably will be hitting my area maybe sunday evening?? So that probably means that the driver will not want to make the drive from Georgia to delivery down here in Palm Beach, HAhAhA

This will most likely mean that I will get the bike on what day?? hmmm.. :skep: .. Maybe now it will be on Wed?? Or later?? :disapp: :disapp:

So what does all of this mean??? They have gone over their maximum number of days they have advertised, 1-5 days for pickup, and 5-10 days for delivery.. Order placed on the 10th.. They took 7 days for pickup.. Now for shipping I think it will be about 9 days or possibly more.. In my opinion they cannot blame the delay on the hurricane when they screwed up on pickup..
Just wanted to share my disappointment with everyone...
I hope to have a big :) on my face when I get the bike, next week.....

Yea you are right... Pickup was still late when considering business days.. Delivery?? well no that "technically" won't be late if you only count business days.. Directly from their website:

"After the order is placed, it will take about 1-3 working days for the truck to pick up your motorcycle within most major metropolitan areas. Most other areas pick up with 1-5 working days with few exceptions. It takes an approximately 5-10 working days to arrive at the destination. It is possible to request a specific day for pick up without extra fees, depending on your area. Ask your customer service representative for more details.

JC Motors strives to provide the most expedient, safest and affordable methods of professional motorcycle transport available. We provide realistic time estimates for your shipment as part of our "No surprises" customer service policy. We get your motorcycle delivered as quickly as possible. Many trucks do arrive early, but we cannot guarantee a specific time or date due to traffic, weather, schedule changes and other uncontrollable events. The drivers will call before arrival."

I believe GasMan lives in a metropolitan area, so 7 days for pickup would be pushing it don't you think?? Also if you consider working days I was told when I had to call (because online tracking is not working) that the bike would be in trasnport over the weekend, if weather permits  .. So if they are transporting the bike over the weekend you might consider that "working days"?

I also had them send the bike about 1 hour south of me, because "That should actually speed up delivery of the bike by a day or two"..
So here is what I'm still showing when tracking the bike at 3:14am..

Estimated Pickup Date : 10/12 To 10/14
Estimated Delivery Date : 10/19 To 10/20
Current Shipment Status: Shipment is at the origin - driver is assigned

They picked it up on the 17th and I will receive it either monday the 24th, but most likely it will be delayed further... Maybe I can expect it on the 26th or 27th?? :tt:

So total time from what was "Estimated" is approximately 4 to 6 days.. hmmmm

Yeah, they F'ed up on my pick up end. Now due to that the weather might tango with it a bit! Way bad!

I hope this one event don't sour Blade's belief in out of state purchases.

Just got off the phone with them and it's STILL in Ohio, Columbus.. I mispoke before about cincinati, if that is what I had said.. It hasn't moved since wednesday and is "supposed" to be shipped out today from their, to georgia... Now guess what they "expect" the date of delivery to be??? HAHAHAHAHA
The 26th... So what does that make the entire delivery time?? 17 days.. Over half a month??? WOW

SO MAYBE I WILL have my Bike By next Wednesday???

Give me a call I have a number for North American Van Lines instead of dealing with JC.. they have no idea what they're talking about...the info isn't in their system and they really are nothing more than the "store front".

UPDATE: I believe the bike finally got into Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday.  ... 16 days after the order was placed it gets into Georgia, and now I'm told the bike will not be brought down to around my location until Monday or Tuesday of next week. I beleive the port of pompano is open currently, but I guess their facilities are not running. I might just drive down their to see if they are telling me the truth in the first place. The bike did sit in Ohio for about 6 or 7 days, possibly longer.
Another shipper was offering door to door service for $610.00 with an estimated delivery of approximately 8-12 days. Guess I should have gone with them, really a no brainer.

Total time for shipment will have been 21-22 days, possibly longer. :tt:

Actually that other shipper said 6-10 days! for $610 and then offered lesser rates for longer time... neither Blade or me have been very impressed with this company. But we will wait till its all said and done before throwing mud!
