why would they make you remove it anyways? is there a problem with people stealing gas in the UK? i could see that point, a helmet could conceal your identity.
I get the deer in the headlight look when I go into the bank with mine on. :yikes:

It all depends when I fill up. If I am leaving home str8 to the gas station..I pay with the debit card and don't take it off. If I have been riding hard all day, I fill up and take a break for a few minutes so then I take the skid lid off.

If so they break all the time tho!!!! My buddy had 3 of them and they all broke! I have one that broke...I stuck a 3/8" bolt thru it and it works...I never use that lid anymore tho.

Its not all gas stations that require you to remove your lid, just the ones that have been robbed on occasions (depends on area/location). Obviously cctv doesn't work because 9/10 the robbers have stole the bikes aswell.. Why use bikes? Can you think of a quicker getaway? :runaway:
I am sure there have been other disguises for robbers, such as baseball caps and hoods, but as far as I know it's just the biker that pays the price as per usual.. :wbs:

Hey Gazzer, are a lot of the stations around you the pre-pay type? I frickin hate pre-pay gas stations, pisses me off, especially when they put the pre-pay sign in some lame ass place that you would never see.. so you don't figure it out til you look like a jackhole for a minute trying to get it on...

But yeah, hijack over, I have had non pre-pay types shut the pump down because he couldn't see my face or my plate. I just figured it was a control freak for a gas station worker :)

I had a station year ago call the police thinking I was stealing gas. It was freekin hilarious. I had pumped the gas and was standing in line inside to pay. And the dumb a$$ calls to the other girl behind the counter, "call the police, that bike just left without paying". It was quite humorous considering I was the bike and I was standing right there. They were on the phone with the police as I steped up in line and said I was the one with the bike that just left with gas. Dazed and confused look, but then again I dont think gas stations require much for employment.

Strange, the gas station I most frequent does not require to remove helmet, but rather pants. Apparently its not protocall?????????? LMAO

Naaaa.... You can either pay @ the pump or in the cage
I usually pay in the cage, most stations are this way any way in the UK. Was that a rhyme???
As far as I am aware the pump isn't switched on until the person in the station is happy to do so....
No pre pay... :disapp:

If I remember correctly, Full Face Helmets were illegal in Malaysia, because they could be a form of disguise

I saw the scariest sign in Malaysia, in a bike shop!
It said " Helmet Repair Service"
