I set my 9R by the recomendations and it's AWESOME. Not too far off OE setting but just enough to make a REAL nice adjustment.

Has anybody else used this great tool? What were your findings?

Initially, I set both the front and rear per their recommendations but I have since found that I like the front to be stiffer. I currently have my preload at 3 lines, rebound at 7 and compression at 3 - sportriders recommendations were 4, 9, 4 respectively. I left the rear alone.

Ryd...I and a few other WOS riders have went with what they recommend on the rear which is usually to have it softer... that way you don't get rear end skip out in mid corner on the bumps that we have so bad here in Michigan.

hey they have a buell xb9r however i think the 02 model and my 05 have a slightly different front end if i am correct so i dont know if the same set up would apply.

Ryd...I and a few other WOS riders have went with what they recommend on the rear which is usually to have it softer... that way you don't get rear end skip out in mid corner on the bumps that we have so bad here in Michigan.

I'll have to double check but I am pretty sure my rear is set to their recommendations. Yeah, them bumps piss me off everyday on my ride home from work. They seem to get worse the closer I get to the crib.

Good site for everyone to learn suspension setups. I spend more on suspension than HP mods. I have more of an off road setup. Front and Rear preload at the softest. Front forks raised 1/2 inch. Cadilliac setup with plenty of sag. I like it super soft on the street, but you need a steady throttle hand. This setup is unforgiving and allows for a controlable wheel slide.

i'm saving up for a rear Ohlins and have my front forks revalved.

I used the exact setup on my 9R and wished I did many many miles before. If you are a HIGHLY expierenced rider that pushes it hard... this will be a great starting point. But for most, these setups will be perfect and a nice improvment over the stock setups.

Also should be added that these are for a rider weighing I think 170 or so.
