Ok, I just wanted to let you guys know that State Farm does not care what STYLE of bike it is, they just care about the CC size. I'm not going to tell you what kind of bike I bought yet because I know you'll want pics. But I will say this: Initially, I had not even called State Farm to ask for a quote because they have always been the most expensive so I didn't want to waste my time. I just continued with my current carrier after checking a few other companies. However, my current carrier wanted $988 a year for full coverage on the new bike. State Farm only wants $291!!!! Why such a difference? Because, as I stated, they only look at CC's, not style of bike. Granted, I have to have the car with them to get that rate and I'm spending an extra $150/yr on the car, but I'm still saving over $500 a year overall.

All that being said, I have no idea what their rates would be on a liter bike, but the rates are great for the 600cc sportbikes.

R6?

I've always been with State Farm, but I get all sorts of discounts because I've been with them since the early 90's and have multiple policies. I don't even know what I pay because my vehicles all come on one bill.

I did check other companies once a few years ago and no one could come close on any of my vehicles.

I am going with everyone else with the R6. So now that we are all thinking its the R6...you need to post up pics of the new bike or prove us all wrong with pics of whatever you got. :dthumb:

Still....congrats on the new bike.

state farm wouldn't touch me when i got my bike. I had a claim 4 years and 9 months before i bought my bike. It's gone off my record now. But state farm wouldn't touch me if I was under 25 and had a claim in the last 5 years. Seems kinda pickey but i guess we all have to pay our dues.

i'm gonna say he went and got himself an exotic. maybe a Duc or a triumph. just my guess

Well, I was going to say that you are all going to have to wait, but I'll just start a poll and see what everyone else wants. Look for it here in OT.

And Matt, Progressive was the HIGHEST for me. They might be cheaper for you because of the Kat being classed as a sport tourer. I was just wanting to let everyone know that a sportbike is cheaper through State Farm. But hey, it definitely can't hurt to call around.

And Dan, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm over 30.

State Farm is GREAT with insurance! DJ and I only paid $72 ....YES I said $72 for a year! We just added it to the car policy. Even if we would have had it on it's own policy, it still would have around $180 Gotta love the multi-vehical discount. :dthumb:

OK N4S... don't bother w/o Progressive!! They are ok but State Farm is the BEST!!!!!!!!

They go by year and cc. They don't even adjust your rates for your tickets. They consider a bike a recreational vechicle and only apply pts to cars....
