Stop the Telemarketers / Junk Mail
For information on being added to the telemarketers' do-not-call list, visit Do Not Call Registery .

To remove your name from the national junk mail list, visit The Direct Marketing Association From the "For Consumers" box in upper right corner, select "Remove My Name From Marketing Lists"; then click the "How to remove your name from mailing lists" link.

The Web site costs $5, or you can mail your request for free, but it'll take longer. The postal address is:

DMA Mail Preference Service
Box 643
Carmel, NY 10512

my number has been on that national do not call list, and i got so many calls I had to change my cell number last year, yeah, my cell number!!! oh, i was pi$$ed to no end!!!

i still get them from time to time..i rip em a new arse when i a call!!
It is actually illegal for them to call you on your cell phone! Reason being...it costs you $$$ for them to call you. On your home phone/land line, it doesn't cost you $$$ just your time!!
thats what I tell them...i cant figure out for the life of me how they ever got ahold of it in the first place.. everything from buying time shares, to "you've won a free cruise" to joining a book club!! :cursin:
Ever since we put our number on the do-not-call list, we rarely get phone calls anymore. YAY! Spam is a different story. I usually never give out my email address, but the junk mail ALWAYS seems to find its way into my mailbox..
there's actually been talk of an official, do not email list, similar to the do not call list..but the problem is, trying to enforce it would be a nightmare..

OMG hell yeah it would be! I could only imagine what would ALL be invovled. It would take months and months AND months for something like that to go through. Course I'm not an expert in that kind of field....LOL
when i sign up for something, i give either a bogus email address, or else i give them my generic yahoo account...fill it up with spam all they want... spam guard will catch it and i dont even have to look at it.
I love getting these calls at home. If I am in a good mood I will let them tell me all about what they are selling or have to offer. 15-20 mins later after talking they think they got me. I tell them no thanks and hang up. :D Other times I will tell them I have already spoken to there supervisor and advised to put me on the do not call list and that this is the second time I have received a call from them(maybe the first but they don't know this) and that they have 24 hrs to remove me once and for all from there data base and never call again before I file a claim against them which is a very large fine for them for everytime they call me or someone who is on the do not call list. LOL I love playing games with them. :dthumb:

LMAO!!!! Doesn't surprise me.
Now see the best thing to do is hand the phone to your 3 yr old when he is in the middle of a screaming fit. Did that once and it was a LOOOOOONG time before I got another telemarketing call. LOL
charlie..we need to get a telemarketer call come thru during one of ur parties!!!
Hey now THAT is a great idea. But with my luck, they'll call when Breezy is sleeping. And she's got a set of lungs on her. She's got one of those shrill shrieking screams that hurts your hears. But I think most kids at that age do...LOL
They have to legaly, remove you from all of their lists and if they don't they're up!
I hate telemarketers. They always call me on Penn State Saturdays around the time that Penn State is ready to make a big play or give up a big play I usually yell about it quite a lot. I am on the do not call list and I still get calls from them. ARGH!!! :upset: :cursin: :bas:

I have always been tempted to use the postage paid envelopes in junk mail to send them some of my other junkmail.

I'm on the no call list from missouri, but still get them from time to time but not too much.
