here's a dumb question, do stunters underinflate their tires or anything? i always think the tires look a little soft when their doing tricks. or is it just the added weight from being on one wheel? i know nothing about this subject, can you tell? :bonk:
[email protected]!! that guy was awesome! I had to watch the vid 3 times.

IT...they underinflate their tires for a few reasons..they have a softer tire that way, it helps keep the bike straighter in a wheelie, the rubber stays hot, less hard impact when you land the bike from a wheelie or stoppie. I keep mine underinflatled when i am out doing wheelies.

The "flat tire" works like a brake. It dont roll as easy and when the throttle is let off it wants to push the front down instead of roll freely like a fully pumped up tire. It is a way to maintain a super slow wheelie. On a three wheeler I would let the air down so I could wheelie around corners just by leaning my weight over to one side and making the trike turn. And all this is done at under 10mph.

Hands down, that guy just blows away ANYTHING I have ever seen done stateside. He makes all the other 'pro' stunters I've seen look like complete and utter amateurs. This guy is in a completely different league.

Simply...........WOW!

I'll have to watch the vid from home...work connection (SBC Yahoo DSL) is just too slow.

But they also lower the rear tire pressure to have a larger "footprint" on the road for the wheelies...

The best stateside makes all stunt riders here look like beginners..I dont know who you have been watchin maybe watch the starboyz latest shows and you will see practically the same crap from a full fairing bike with stock sprocket. Granted the guy is good but those rinky dink half dirtbike things are like riding a bmx bike with a motor they are made to do things like that. Guy has real good balance but def not the best ive ever seen. I would like to see him do half as good as the starboyz on a stock bike. It simply wouldnt happen...

I'm with ya Mix... the skill is there but the dish plate size sprockets I, IMO, take away from the skill level. Starboyz at least do it right and honest!

There is no doubt the guy has some serious skill but I would like to see it done with some more stock sportbikes... that's all.... he's a very talented guy...that can't be debated!

He incorporated BMX into that stuff, lol. That was AWESOME!!!
You would think that was awesome seeing as your avatar sucks and you are a Yamaha hater because you are scared of a real bike.. :yikes:

That guy was good for sure and I would like to see him on a full fairing stock bike as well but I have a feeling he would do good on that as well.. But I have definately seen better..

I`ll refrain myself from making this thread go to hell with making a comeback to your post.
