got my spool mounted swingarm sliders today.. 2 minute install.. Carbon inlay... they look good.. real carbon fiber is the only CF to ever use... so much nicer looking then fake... though who knows on the quality they are lockhardt phillips... the walmart of performance parts....so hoefully the epoxy finish works and they aactully hold up if they are ever needed... but they do look good... man i need a new pic of my bike i dont have one newer then last summer whne it was dead stock.. many a mods since then.

one side is useless cuz the can will take all the abuse... so that one wont evne get touched.... the other side may need it, but hopefully not ever. i guess anything on there is better htne nothing... But i wanna keep the CF front slider idea going, will prob just ask the seller first to make sure its not LP....i didnt even ask cuz it ddint say LP... but i will avoid their stuff for everythign in the future.

Delrin is the best material for sliders, at least from what I've heard. I just wish there was a slider to protect the stator cover on the R6. I can get frame sliders, swingarm sliders, a clutch slider, but I haven't found anything that will protect the stator cover.

lol just get a woodcraft or factory pro stator cover they both have a slider type setup. with my set up, vortex sliders and lightning spool sliders, i think thats what theyre called, anyway my covers should not hit.

i got the woodcraft one and it looks awsome.

where di you find a clutch slider?

CF sliders are opnly CF on the outside, they have the top aluminum and thats attached to the bolt so its metal all the way down, just thinner metal then a all aluminum one. I think it will still offer decent protection for only being the swingarm. The front one however ill get in somehtign thats still CF o match but thicker metal layer too for protection where it matters. I dont have body plastics over the motor to worry about so thats not a issue, plus i have case and stator cover sliders from the factory that are farther out then any other part of the motor. so i think my enigne will be well protected even with CF front sliders

Capt you're wrong.... they do bend... and proof is here...

Here's the problem they just don't hold up in a down... you want a slider to grind down... alum frame sliders are a really really bad idea.... that is like putting a lever out there to destroy your frame.... think about it... lets stick a big piece of alum in there and when the bike goes down it can peel the frame mounting point over and instantly total your bike in most states... :screwy: :loser:

You want Intuitive or similar frame sliders... yes derlin is one of the best products to use.... The Intuitive's are Twisty approved and they'll take the beating...

Also, Scott is right... on the right side of the bike you have a huge swingarm slider.... your exhaust can....

Here's pics of my LP CF Inlay frame and swing arm sliders... the old ones obviously didn't work very well and it was a BIETCH to get off!!! Now, I'll admit the swingarm did it's thing and still would have worked one more time but after seeing what the frame slider did, I wasn't taking any chances...

Gas-

Does anyone make a similar frame slider that just has a CF outter shell with the vulcanized style rubber body? I'd like to keep the CF look but get a good frasme slider that will work too.....

I don't think so.... but at least now you know why I'm so much against them... remember, they are there to protect your bike, not look cool.... :2cents:
