There is no way... you need to get THIS!

Why don't you people listen? :nonod: :D

i bought one a month ago :dthumb: very easy. And yes the notches on the Sv are off. I aligned with the lines and then put the tool on the sprocket to check accuracy, and mine are off by a mark.

It will always be off some. If you were to loosen every thing up and do it again. It probably would be different every time.

As you loosen the axel, the swing arm spreads open like a Y. As you tighten the axel, it clamps down and tries to spit the wheel out. The adjusters have way to much tolerances to get it perfect but, usually come close. Get the alignment tool if you want it perfect.

im sure this is somewhere else but :jacked: to tighen the chain
1. loosen axle
2. release the lil nuts at teh end of the swingarm
3. slide axle back to take up slack
4. alighn with ticks on side of axle thingy(?)
5.tighen lil bolts or do i tighten the axle bolt fisrt?

how much slack is ok and how much is not, on my quad its two finger widths is that the same as the bike?

After you get it all adjusted (about 1/2 inch slack) Snug the axel. (just enough to compress the swing arm) Then check your adjustments again. Also check the chain again. slowly roll the wheel and check for tight spots in the chain. This is easy with a rear stand. It can be done with out. It takes two people. With the kick stand down. Turn the bars to full lock. Lean/pull the bike forward to the kick stand side. (Basically propping the bike on the kickstand and front wheel only) This will lift the rear off the ground for another person to check the chain. This also works for lubing the chain.

You don't have to lift the wheel just to adjust. It just makes it easier.

drewpy,
adjust and tighten adjusters first than the axel. Then check you adjustment again after everything is tight.
