The rock store??

Whats up everyone,
I am still new to the L.A. area (at least to riding in it anyways) and I have some frinds coming up from orange county to go riding this weekend and I would like to go to the rock store. I know where it is but I want to take the bst route up there. Im am in santa monica and we will be meeting at my house. I would like to make a big loop and end up in malibu on PCH. Can anyone help me out with some directions? Thanks in advance

First go over the tracks and follow the road until you get to the yellow house with the 3 cars on blocks and the security doors...slip your money through the slot in the side door and wait...

I would stay off the small canyon roads for now especially with riders unfamiliar with the area. They are a mess. A lot of them still have water running across them and a few small slides partially blocking the roads.

I would take Latigo Cyn this road is about 2 miles or so east of Kanan. Take it all the way up to Kanan Rd. You then turn right for about 3/4 of a mile and turn right onto Mulholland and follow it down to the Rock Store. From there you can continue down Mulholland till you get to Las Virgenes Rd.

Turn right there and go down to Piuma Rd (there will be a traffic light there) and turn left. Go up to near the top of the road (hear the directions get shaky, sorry). Near the top you will want to turn left on Schuern or Stunt. Follow that down the hill and you will end up back at Mulholland. Turn left go back to Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon Rd and turn left there. That will take you down to PCH in Malibu.

Have fun and be careful. The CHP and LA Sheriffs will be out in force on Sunday and on their motorcycles as well.

How do I get to Kanan from santa monica? can I get there from PCH. Im pretty sure topanga canyon is still closed.

I think this reply will be to late but the quick way would be just Santa Monica all the way down the coast to Kanan Rd. If not take the 10 east to 405 north to 101 Ventura Fwy west. Get off on Kanan Rd and turn left. PS if you go this way you might as well stop at the Rock store. Turn left at Troutdale go a 1/4 mile (if that) right on Mulholland and you will run into it very shortly. Have fun

Sounds good. Maybe Ill see you up there one day. I live 30 minutes away and that 30 minute trip is freeway less and all awesome riding.
