Having grown up in metro-Detroit, I can say my upbringing was nowhere near that mess of a city. People ask where I'm from and from reading articles like this, they get the wrong impression. I lived in the Burbs an hour away from downtown. But all of SE lower MI will always get that rap because Detroit is what it is, and the mayor is #1 clown to boot. They deserve one another.

Yea, it's a joke around here. Like the article says that couple square mile they've poured $ into to ATTEMPT to make Detroit look good for this week is BS. A couple blocks outside of the facade they've put up and its crack city - and the Police DO NOTHING. :scratch: :cursin:

Everyone keeps trying to say Detroit is going to make a comeback - not in my lifetime. Its so far gone its unbelievable. When I went looking for my truck one day I was in disbelief of the crime that was going on in front of my face and police just look the other way. Detroit = :flush:
