I have a large and unorganized collection of mostly CRAFTSMAN tools. Mix in some husky, a few no name and harbor freight pieces and thats me. I would like a set of Snap-On tools but cant justify the price. Believe it or not, the Suzuki spark plug tool works better than anything else for getting the plugs off the SV.

Nice lift Jetski!!

I like my craftsman stuff... and of coarse the snap on and mac are good tools but they just want too much money for it! Besides the Craftsman stuff is easier to return/warrenty!

LIFT -> :drool:

For my bike, key tools have been a rubber hammer, socket set, and two pair of "special" feeler gauges. Came in especially handy for the carbs and valves.

I'd love to have a rotor puller for my alternator and a spare garage just for the bike

Normal assorted tools in my box!
Most useful tool; A bolt with a nut welded on the end.
Used for removing the front wheel of a Gixxer.
Just as good as a $30 alien socket.

I would have bought one if I could have found one the first day I needed it.
I think that was back in 1997.
I thought about it, rode the bike to the hard ware store and found a bolt that fit the axel.
Bought the bolt and not.
Went home and welded the nut to the bolt and presto.
I had a tool I still use today.

I know exactly what you're talking about... I just use the fork clamps and my 31mm (I think) allen bolt for the other side...

Craftsman...pretty much all craftsman. Full rolling toolbox for the garage, another smaller kit that's for traveling with the bike (to the gap and stuff), another kit in the envoy just in case. As for the garage stuff, everything you can imagine plus saws and drills and.......my compressor with air tools!!!!

CHEV NOW POUNDING CHEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have ball bearing drawers....definitely worth it. They're awesome.

Snap-on and Matco, with a smattering of Craftsman .... I have to go to the shop in about an hour, so I don't have time to list them :D

The big thing about Snap-on/Matco tools is the quality. If you use tools every day, you really see/feel the difference. I used to have all craftsman, but started replacing things about 5 years ago. If it were just for just home use, I'd prob still go all Craftsman.

The big difference is in things like ratchets and air tools ... they're just built a lot better and aren't as "sloppy". Most of Craftsman's non "Hand tools" (anything that has moving parts they now say aren't hand-tools) have REALLY gone down in quality over the last few years - Once I got my first matco ratchet, it was all downhill from there.

Plus ... the truck comes every Monday ... I don't have to drive to Sears when something breaks :D :D
