What does one do.. There are some drag races coming up. Ran in them last year, and am seriously considering again this year (on stock R1). The first one is in a few weeks. No problem so far. The next one is end of april. That is where the dilema kicks in..
My better half is due to drop our (2nd) son end of April. Do I do the considerate, chivalrous thing and stay home, or think, it's only a few hours in the evening, not much can happen, and if it does, she'll just have to keep her legs crossed for an hour or three til I get there? Not sure what to do, but need to sign up in the next few days..
Guess I should talk to her about it, and see how she feels about it (and then do what I want to do anyways????)

That's a tuffy man!! I could see it both ways. I'm scared to recommend this cause it usually just asks for problems... but I would say ask the wife and see what she thinks... go by what the two of you come up with.

If you did skip this end of April one... when's the next one?

How much does it cost? I know it's only 15 bucks to run out here. I'd pay and if something comes up, it's not that big of a loss.
:iagree: make your plans, then cancel if you have to.:2cents:

It sucks to miss something that you look forward to, but I would say to be there for your wife. I use to go to the corvetteforum cruise-in every year on Memorial Day weekend, but my daughter was born last year on May 25th. I will probably miss several cruise-ins from now on due to her birthday, but my daughter is more important to me. Decide what's important to you, drag races or family.

I love to drag but if your wife is that close I wouldn't even thinking about going. Where I live, we have grudge nights every Wed. For me at least, it's a very simple decsion to make.:2cents:

It's only two meets this year probs.. Like last year, only twice. They're still putting out feelers I guess to see how popular it would be here.
Not a big cost - about 40 bucks I guess, roughly, per meet. So register, and then see.
Spoke to her about it - she doesnt mind the first one - the second on in April, if he's seen the light, then I go, if not, then I stay home..
(How do you make a baby come out faster?????) (jk)

Wow, my 50th post already.. almost catching up to gasman and the lot.. lol

I would go and play. When the times comes. Play it by ear. She seems to have some logic with her decision on the matter. May even let you go any way. Women seem to know when its close plus by then the Doc will have a more precise date too.
