Ok guys I know I have a digital display on my 03 honda 600RR, my questions is what will it top out at (if any one knows) speed? Also, how fast has everyone been here. please list fastest speed and what type of bike.

I hit about 75 on a back road the other day, (I only have my learners, for now) so i haven't been on any real roads. give me a couple of days. HEHE

My next bike 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1....I've heard it will do 187 mph, but I will find out when I buy it.

darn tootin!!! Give me time, just give me time, I'll give you a run for the money, let me get on the 600...but i hear tell about some nifty lil gadget that i can throw on my 250, dyno something or other, 3rd stage, a little birdie told me that will give it quite a kick! :angelhap:

Anybody else heard about that for the 250's?? (I know, lil bike and all that, but hey, I am a lil person!!) I am checkin other threads too...:drool: power...muahaha...:lol:

I did 157mph (indicated) on my 05 gixxer 600 today.....def. had more left in her though.....just cant find enough road yet without traveling too far with just my permit.

fastest ive gone though....188mph in a 2003 S/C Z06..not mine.

Ive done 172mph (had a lil more)in my fathers M3....and close to 175mph in my 04 cobra.

If we get into other vehicles, I have been 160 mph in my VW GTI-VR6, and 207 mph in my friends 95 Impalla SS. We ran up on someones ass real quick on the interstate, so we had to slow it down.

believe it or not...at the time the Impala SS was stock, with expensive tires, now the car is unbelievably a horse power house! I think he is running about 600 HP now.

no, it read 207 mph right on the digital dash. trust me...I was scared...that big car going that fast....hmmm one little bad move would have been over.

i really dont want to get into an argument over this....but in that case ferrari needs to learn a lesson from impalas.

hell....my 500rwhp cobra couldnt break 180mph....you think a 95 impala with less than 300 crank hp is going to do 207mph.....?????:scratch: dont think so...haha

thats just the thing about it, the 95 and 96 impalla SS were the only years that car was in production, it didn't have a top out limiter. Those cars were equipt with the LT1.
I have been up to 173 in my friends uncles 96 impalla SS down in Alabama when I went to Talledega, but he's smarter then my buddy with the 95.

dude...it doesnt matter....limiter or not....the impala ss is redline limited at about 145mph.....cant go any faster without blowing the motor.

LS1 camaro SS's dont do any better than 170mph....no limiter....ls1,1s2,ls6 vettes are in the 172-180mph range...

the new Z06 tops out at 197mph.....

....but the 95 impala SS does 207......:wbs: i would raise the flag even if you sid the impala did 160mph.

the police cruisers back in 96 topped out at 143mph redline limited....so giving your friends impala the same respect is a gift.


the sender was busted....the car never would have been able to stay connected to the road at those speeds....and not to mention...it never would have gotten there...

lets say it wasnt redline limited.....it would most certainly be drag limited by 150mph....at 170-180 the front end probably would have gotten SOO light that if your friend tilted the wheel more than 1 degree to the right or left....you would have lost control.


anyway...i believe the top speed test for the 1995 impala SS to 145mph took more than 2 miles of road...thats a long ways and thats only to 143-145.
